Mes formateurs, mes amis, mes masters, mes modèles...bref mes potes d'uwl n'arrêtent pas de sortir des mini-simmons, et comme d'habitude que du haut de gamme.Aprés le passage de jeff mc callum dans leurs atelier ils continuent à inover et a sortir des pièces incroyables voici quelques que julien m'a gentiment envoyé, et une photos d'ailerons en bois pour mini-simmons, shapé par john cherry (california) destiné a uwl.

Joe bauguess de swift surfboards, ce mec est dingue!! Il ne fait qu'inover, et chaque fois que je vais sur son blog je suis abasourdi, voici l'INGENIEUR du mini simmons qui pose dans sa salle de glass, tout en expliquant sur son blog que la contamination du mini simmons fait des ravages, et que la demande est impréssionante!! Le jour ou j'irais en calif, c'est décidé j'essaye de bosser pour ce mec!!

This is the great interpretation of bob merson for his two mini-simmons,
The first one was the pizza box paint job. It is 5'-8" x 23" x 3".
The blue resin swirl is 5'-6" x 23" x 3". I shaped and glassed these
and foiled the fins. Bob say that to me:
"I am 57 and have been surfing since I was 12. I am riding these boards
in the Carlsbad
and Oceanside areas and it is the most fun I have had in all of my
years of surfing."

Mitch McClain from Hawaii, mini simmons

Very good interpretation of the mini-simmons by Mitch McClain and his friend.
Mitch give me this details: "Pics are of two planing hulls. For Hawai'i waves I softened the "hullness" and pulled in the nose. Friends board is 5'2" X 21 1/2" X 2 7/8" wrapped in 6oz volan. He did the artwork on the deck and foiled the fins.

My personal board is 5'5" X 22 1/2" wide and 3 1/4", glassed with 6oz volan. I painted the goofy skateboard and made the fins."

Voila, c'est avec tristesse que je quitte mes amis d'uwl, je vous rassure c'est un mal pour un bien! C'est un choix voulu et très réfléchi. Je pars avec Perle ma fiancée en Australie pendant un an, nous atterrissons à Sydney puis faisons toute la cote èst dans un camion, le but est donc de voyager, de surfer, skater, puis bien sur continuer à peindre et bosser chez les plus grands du shape! Je suis en contacte avec Peter White de Classic malibu, puis j'ai une propositions d'embauche pour travailler à byron bay avec Thomas Dain de SEA SURFBOARDS (www.seasurfboards.com), puis le reste on verra! Mon ami POLISH nous rejoint en Australie avec sa copine, nous comptons donc faire quelques sessions deco ensemble à Sydney. Après notre année en Australie nous comptons passer quelques semaines ou mois de vacances en Thaïlande avant de rentrer en France. Loic un ami, va me remplacer à uwl, il va avoir l'immense chance de travailler avec des gens géniaux, et l'immense chance de travailler sur des planches hors norme! Profite en loic, sa passe vite!! Je remercie du fond du cœur UWL qui m'ont toujours soutenus dans tous ce que j'entreprenais! C'est des gens que j'aime vraiment!! Here we are, it is with sadness that I leave my friends of uwl, I reassure you it is the evil for the good! It is a deliberate and very thoughtful choice. I leave with Perle my fiancée for Australia during one year, we land in Sydney then make all the east coast in a truck, the purpose thus is to travel, to surf, to skater, then indeed to continue to paint and to work to the biggest of the shape! I am in contact with Peter White of Classic Malibu, Then I have one propositions of hiring to work on byron bay with Thomas Dain of SEA SURFBOARDS ( www.seasurfboards.com ), then the rest we shall see! My friend POLISH joins us in Australia with his friend, we thus plan to make some sessions deco together in Sydney. After our year in Australia we plan to cross(spend) some weeks or month of holidays in Thailand before returning in France. Loic a friend, is going to replace me in uwl, it is going to have the immense luck to work with brilliant people, and the immense luck to work on exceptional boards! 5'8 Addiction surfboards.

Nouveau mini-simmons en 5'8 pour la corse. Résine teintée rouge ferrari top
+bottom, équipé de dérives que j'ai shapé avec un bord en résine teintée rouge, super gloss finish.

New mini--simmons in 5 ' 8 for corsica. Red resin tint top+bottom, equipped with twin wooden fins which I have shaped with an edge in red resin tint, super gloss resin finish.

5'10 Addiction.

Cette semaine nous venons donc de finir un nouveau "mini-simmons" en 5'10, blanc, avec une jolie latte en bois rouge, équipé d'ailerons fixe que j'avais shapé avec un bord transparent en résine. Le tout pas trop lourd, nous avons fait un "S" deck pour le shape et un petit step sur le nose.

This week we have thus just ended a new " mini--simmons " in 5 ' 10, white, with an attractive red wooden stringer, equipped with glass on that I had shaped with a transparent edge in resin. Any too heavy step, we made one "S" deck for the shape and a step young on the nose.
